Great pic's Fiddich - nothing like that anywhere near me - enjoy! oh and the local trails are now closed as the 4x4 brigade chew them up in the winter, so we all suffer - that's fair isn't it?

I guess these photos are as much about the scenery as our bikes and the surroundings in which we enjoy them. Here's mine during a tour of the surf beaches south of the City in South Oz.

Had to include a nice bottle of Barossa Valley Shiraz....

Both photographs probably summed up my 10 days away at our shack on my own, a few jobs to do but mostly time on the bike and evenings to watch the sun go down whilst sipping on grape juice - heaven.

PS. The next piece of land behind the bottle is Antarctica!!

Very nice Dave!! I've been wanting to add a bit more blue to mine for ages but have never managed to get round to it. What blue paint did you use?

JMN 25-01-12 11:53

Very nice indeed! What paint did you use for the gray parts? They feel "greasy" so I would imagine it's hard to get the paint to stick properly.

My Ten is unfortunately black so in order for me to get that cool look I would have to paint the tank and fender too.

dave530 25-01-12 17:40

Hi, i contacted yamaha uk who didnt have a paint code for the tenere blue? so they reckoned so i got my local body shop to colour match the paint from the front mudguard, the bike looks much bigger and a bit more chunky with the plastics colour coded, the plastics where cleaned in truck wash to get rid of the greasy finish and rubbed down slightly to get them flatted off, then plastic primed and painted with normal auto spray and laquered etc, dont know how long it will last when i start taking it off road though! but looks pretty hard wearing, just like your colour coded car bumper finish , same goes for the akro as well much lighter and better looking than stock but i would ,nt like to lean the bike over on to the akro pipe! ive just templated the complete bike ready to get custom graphics in dakar style red bull etc.
if you wanted to get graphics done for your bike all you need to do is cover the area you want the graphics for with strips of masking tape, draw around the outline with perm marker, peal off the masking tape as one piece, stick it on to a piece of paper then cut around the pen marked outline, you now have pefect template to get graphics made up.
when i get the graphics done i,ll put a photo up.
