I am however scratching my head as to how you pack everything plus camping equipment without pannier or sidebags? May the Tenere be with you for the rest of your awesome journey.

Ortlieb dry bags is the way to go...!

Hey there! With your background, how did you got to choose the Tenere for this trip? Did you consider any other allroads, like the BMW F800GS or th KTM990 Adventure for example(or even the horrible Kawasaki KL650....)or any other brand? Anyway, I'll be following your travels and blog.
Good luck and have fun!
Greetz, Hans.

P.s.: keepin' it standard or doin' some mods?

Looks bloomin lovely up there fella. Conversely, whilst the weather is good/not raining down here I've put the Ten away and got the old Speed Triple out to play instead.

Tony660x 01-03-11 19:38

Almost 4 seasons in 1 day in those photos. Very nice. I dont know about Scotland but is freezing in the midlands today so I can only imagine its chilly north of the border.

Lovely sunny day and thermals under the thermal lining of the trousers keeps the cold out.

I took delivery of my 2010 Demo 660 Z on Friday. Plugged on all the Bling Bits, but overall I'm really happy with the bike and how he handles. It's a complete different bike for the the 660 R.. :gayfight:

I know that sinking feeling Minky. Then there's the sweaty moment when pulling it out.

jimmysimpson 30-03-11 21:34

Mind you. It's easier to pull out than a Varadero. lol.

Sysie 04-04-11 10:17

No, Croatian backcountry. But I really had a great time and it needed a lot of sweat pulling the ten out of that mudhole. But hey, fun overweighs it all!

Cheers!
