Went for a little spin to make sure the new top box didn't rattle loose before the trip to Arran, and see if I could recover my motorcycle mojo. Was such a nice night took a few pics with the phone.
http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o...60810_1918.jpg Has to be the best time of day, sun's on the way out and all the colours seem to come alive, a nice heather mixture. http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o...810_194001.jpg Plus I've got the place all to myself, not a sound to be heard. http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o...60810_1941.jpg Although the physical journey could have ended right here. Friday quiz name that shrooom. http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o...60810_1945.jpg Resisting natures halusinagenic fungus and off home http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o...810_201701.jpg |
Very nice. Over here it's not allowed to ride through the heather fields: declared national park...

Just a shot of my bike going out to check out our local lake. We've been in drought for the last 10 years and this lake which is our local water supply has been hovering around 2-3% for the whole time. In the last couple of weeks it has shot up to about 30% because of all the rain (trust the drought to break as soon as I buy a new bike).
You can see the water in the background is the lake. That little grassed area used to be the place where you could watch your kids swim. As a kid I used to swim just the other side of those wodden rails. You can see how long it's been dry by the height of the trees growing in the lake bed in the distance http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._7914621_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._3673928_n.jpg and one of the day I picked it up, last time it will ever say this http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6343233_n.jpg sorry about the pic quality, iphone photos |
Blue - the best colour!

Life is good again. The woman to the left just had half her engine replaced after the chain climbed off the rear sprocket and cracked the casing, the one on the right is still in mint condition. Took them both on a long weekend trip after many weeks of waiting for the repair.
http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/o.../DSCN2992s.jpg Just got a mod by mail from the awesome guy Stoic, so soon I have a chain guide mounted on the bike and hope that no more accidents will occur. =) |

Haha, yeah thats the way I work too: old-skool just with maps and pen&paper! I never used GPS or Tom-tom or anything like that, but who knows eventually? But so far, I've always found my way(with a good sense of direction), if you don't you can always ask....

Very nice Mike where's that to??

Its in the Ardennes ...great roades... The off road one was in fact a marked track for approx 4 miles through the forest and over the hills dropping into a small village...great fun and the Tenere was perfect on that sort of terrain.

Every time I've cleaned and polished the bike it drags me out on adventures that ends like this:

Although this thread is called "Your Tenere pictures thread", being the guy behind the camera kinda makes it hard to get a photo of yourself.
So here are pictures of other Teneres from yesterday's ride : http://lh6.ggpht.com/_h_hIYKggHWM/TJ.../ITC%20007.JPG http://lh3.ggpht.com/_h_hIYKggHWM/TJ.../ITC%20013.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_h_hIYKggHWM/TJ.../ITC%20018.JPG Some people just don't like to get wet: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_h_hIYKggHWM/TJ.../ITC%20022.JPG Note the old Tenere behind the splash http://lh6.ggpht.com/_h_hIYKggHWM/TJ.../ITC%20016.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_h_hIYKggHWM/TJ.../ITC%20008.JPG |
