Nice pic, nice color.
My girlfriend just told me, that my Tenere is a sort of drug...and she's right.

cotthem 03-11-08 17:58

I always hate it, when I have to clean my bike. The mud was so cool. But tomorrow new tire, and my dealer works only on clean bikes

Good night sweetheart..

Last pic of my bike before I dragged it down in the basement at work to let it rest for the winter. =(

http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/9...0053022dn4.jpg

But it will probably go up and down the elevator a little during the winter, got a lot of stuff to do on the bike. :)

xt660zrider 10-11-08 23:05

Maxwell the bike to the right of my Tenere was used by a hardened biker to ride around the coast of the UK last year. He covered 4500 miles in around 4 months.

The scoot is actually classed as a motorised pedal cycle and had a top speed of less than 30mph.

Now if he can complete a trip on a tiny bike like that the sky is the limit for anyone with an xt.

Charity ride starts on 15/11 but speedferries have been impounded so we are frantic looking for another crossing.

Cheers.......

steveD 21-11-08 22:53

Hi Gregor, what tryres are you running and how do they handle on the road?:coolsmiley:

Molgan 22-11-08 05:57

Hello and welcome Gregor, and nice to see you use your Ten the way it's supposed to. =)

gregor 22-11-08 12:16

Hello all.

Pics taken on Byways between Hollingbourne and Charing along the North Downs in Kent.

The rear tyre is a Pirelli MT21, the front a Vee Rubber motorcross tyre worth 3 pts :eusa_naughty: which as you'd expect feels awful on the road but excellent on the slippery stuff.

I will be replacing it with a matching MT21 soon because I would like to be able to go around corners on tarmac again.

Not once did that front let go on mud which is more than can be said for the Pirellis from past experience.

dallas 22-11-08 15:58

Welcome and congrats, Gregor! Ain't it a beauty, man that's a real motorcycle indeed! Hold on to this bike, it's gonna be a collector's item, as they no longer have this colour next year. But foremost ENJOY!! Greetz, Hans.

P.s.: I'm a little bit biased, 'cause I also run a white one!

SingleMinded 22-11-08 18:19

Lovely pics. Especially the second one.

Piccies of my Ten

4 Attachment(s)
My Ten bought in September with lowered suspension and re-sculpted seat amongst other extras.
In a mad moment I had a set of 'speedblock' graphics made up in silver/white to break up the black/black colour scheme. Found out too late that the existing 'Tenere' sticker to the front of the tank has been laquered over in the factory and can't be removed.
Still, I have the only Ten in existance with 'half a speedblock' scheme.

Yeah I am liking the speed block pattern especially only half the stealth tenere is soooooo fast the rest couldnt keep up, I have been thinking about yellow speedblock on the black tank or a couple of large green monster energy logos, then I also like the idea of a silver camel graphic. I kinda always dreamed of that scheme on my dream bike. Descisions descisions

First trip out on my Tenere - still on standard tyres at this point
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f.../tenererhs.jpg

Then changed to MT21s which allow me to get stuck in much deeper ruts! - might have to take that centre stand off for the deep ruts , front mudguard got clagged up too !
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...r/DSCF0034.jpg

Note the steam ! - most from the bike some from me !:merror:

i am currently at the "research" stage ahead of looking to buy a Tenere as a replacement for my trusty 05 DRZ400S ..we first saw the tenere at the 2007 NEC bike show and it really caught my eye back then

these pics have me torn between the sandy colour, the white and this years blue (my DRZ is blue so i'd be able to stick my blue handguards straight on ;) )

fwiw my fiancee loves the look of all of them :055:

steveD 04-01-09 23:43

Blimey what a dilemma, just having to make a choice on colour and you get approval to have one in any case!
I think that the electric blue colour is GORGEOUS!:055:

gregor 10-01-09 19:24

We've had a cold spell down in the South East of England, temps down to -11 degrees C at night and not rising above 0 much during the day.

Time to play in the snow.
