At night, there were some heavy rainshowers.
But the almost finished K60 tyre, did a great job!
A flashy picture, or should I say; splashy?

After 80km; a well deserved pitstop.
And then concentration for the second part of the ride!

Greetz!

G'Day schiptje.........In the picture above, is that front tyre of yours on backwards.....insn't the tread supposed to run the other way????

schiptje 15-05-09 15:10

Regie, the tyre is NOT mounted backwards. It's supposed to be like this.
First time, I didn't believed it. But it's right. The rear tyre pattern runs the other way.

regie308 16-05-09 05:31

ah! OK!......thats something different.

I just have to stop fooling myself, there's no use in trying to keep this bike clean. Polished it up and went for a little spin to let it air-dry, and this is how it looked when I got back:

In the future river crossings will be the only thing I use to keep it mud free. =)

I snapped a couple of other pics BW, and it's alright, you can see my footprints. There's no chance of me being mistaken for Frankie! Ha.

When I first read that I thought you meant breakers yard! Ha! I did ride down to where the sea was washing but discovered quite quickly that the sand was an awful lot softer and I probably shouldn't stop unless I wanted to stay there permanently...

Am sorry you have been probably asked a thousand times, what brand and model of handguards you've got there? After having read some who have their reasons for not having wraparound guards and seeing the bar-end weights are in place, I am now thinking about going the same way. Would you recommend them and are they easy to mount? cheers.

Hi Josephau,

Take a look at this. I was concerned that they would be too flimsy but they are OK.
