looking good mate, like those MM 2/1 zorsts :D

White looks great
Nice work! Looks fantastic in white mate...
Did you need to sand back the original blue plastics or did the paint stick straight onto the shiny surface? Your bike will feel heaps better without those (in my opinion) stupid heavy twin pipes. Have fun. Boneman |
The paint was Plasti-Kote Plastic Spray Paint White from Screw Fix.
I removed all the stickers using a hair dryer, then rubbed the plastics down with wire wool and degreased them using brake cleaner. They needed 2 coats. |
I am thinking about doing my tank shrouds now, can`t decide on matte or gloss black...

I like the yellow XTRs... with the black ladder style stripes..
wonder if the yellow plastic's / decals can be bought.. |

I take it you used a primer after you rubbed the panels down? And an undercoat? What about the clear lacquer after the white? Plasti-Kote do all these products. Good products, I sold them for years. |
Thanks for the tips GR

We have Plasti-Kote in Australia, sounds like it would be the preferred brand, I have annual leave this week, I am tempted... Cheers, Boneman |
