My current job is a Power Station Operator in a coal fired station in the south west of Western Australia.
Originally started as a mechanical fitter in power stations, refineries and a bit of pipe fitting/welding.
Its a great job with new things to learn all the time, especially since nearly everthing is electrically/computer controlled and everything is great until something goes wrong.
Shift roster is 2 nights, 2 days 5 off

Currently I am a Managing Director working for Audatex (owns HPI in the UK). We provide business management solutions for insurance companies, claims management, fraud detection and prevention. We also work closely with all OEMs (mostly cars).
My background though is from the Automotive sector having worked for several years for Inchcape, another UK company, covering various fields from sales and dealer development to product management. Later I moved to another company in the sector as Marketing Director.
Through the years I have built a good industry knowledge and last but not least had a lot of fun driving countless new cars from any brand.
This is in few lines more than 17 years of experience.

Was a Carpenter for 18yrs 'till I got tired of the building trade.
Moved to Oz in '06 bought a Picture Framing & Art Material Business (which we still have) wife now runs the shop while I cruise around Central Queensland driving a Fuel Tanker that I really enjoy.
I think it stems from my childhood where Convoy was my favorite movie, but man I was pissed when my sister taped Grease over it in the good old days of VHS video recorders.
