I'm a Senior UX (user experiance) Designer for a travel software technology company in South Wales, used to be a tank commander (recce) in the Army but left 5-6 years ago and haven't looked back.

Use my XTX to get to work, 54 mile round trip, going to work is fun, so is going home :)

I now work for an offshore helicopter company which flies passengers+cargo to oil rigs,basically loading/unloading/towing/washing helicopters, making sure passengers dont get their heads chopped off etc

its the best job iv had, outside in all weather not stuck in an office, no one is up their own bum and you get left alone to get on with your job, no-one breathing down your neck! the pay isnt too bad either

Also done the DIY stuff Re-built house while we still lived in it (Not recomended).
Fixed own cars Autotested them, navigated in rally cars and Land-Rovers.
Trialed, and Comp safaried Land-Rover's. Now MotorBikes, use to get to Work when not sharing (A7 to Edinburgh), + IAM on Sundays.

Back to Job OLD IT "Mainframe" Analyst programmer, can Project manage, design Business systems, Program and Test, as long as it is traditional stuff, love it and hate it would love to do something else but what:googly[1]:....

I left school at the age of 17 moved 800km away for everybody I know started working for a upholster for about 2 years then worked for a company that specializes in roofs that was nice as I saw the hole country after about 4 years started working for a contractor doing some welding/building/roofs/pluming just refuse to lay tiles and then about 6 years ago started at a dental technician, s*^ty job really missing the out doors http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...008/101457.jpg

I work in the auto industry as a robot programmer. Its an interesting job that has taken me all over the word,problem is that I'm away from home for long periods of time.:sad1: Good news is that I run my own company I can choose when I want to work and when I want to:boozer: er, relax

Well, left school, intruder alarm/ electricians apparentice at Thorn EMI, qualified, got bored,went into building trade, bricking and plastering, done good, got bored, went into BT, business systems, had injury whilst at work. long term sick, got bored so started buying / selling cars, as well as doing various college courses to pass the time( plumbing, gas, building trades in general). opened my first MOT garage in chadwell heath 6 years ago, second in collier row 5 years ago, but havent had to be there myself really, so got back into building trade, now run my own building company doing mainly disabled adaptations for local authorities, as well as extensions etc... In between, my second wife wanted to do something so we decided to open up a cafe, which she took with her when she gone!!! god bless and all who sail in her!!! lol.
Into small time property landlord/developement and allways looking for something new and exciting......and lucrative, he he........watch this space, who knows.... bar, restaurant, refuge for tired brasses!!

WOW what a bizarre story Mick, funny and sad at the same time, specially the bit about your second wife getting away with your Cafe, but I am curious now.... what happened to the first wife?

Well, i built a new patio, called her to have a look and couldn't find her, then noticed a 'bump' in the slabs...... a few passes with a wacker plate and it was good as new!!!...total mystery??

She lives happily in clacton on sea! lol....
