Hi guys, first post and a very happy xtx owner of two days

I have an 04 with micron race cans, decnt filters and a pc111 which has been dyno tuned.

This was all done before i bought the bike second hand

Co was 20, tried 25 which made the surge worse!

Dropping to 18 has made it better, can i go leaner much? No one seems to drop the co, only raise?

Cheers, vince

You can go as low as -10 on these bikes, your setting will depend on how the PCIII map was built.

What XT660 XTX, XTR, XTZ?

What year XT660?

What are all the mods on the bike?

What map areyou running in the Power Commander?

What is your CO1 set to?

Kev, you say on your ECU page that the 2009 onwards ECU doesn't benefit from less surging by increasing the CO value, and can introduce stalling. Is that still your opinion?

Kev 06-03-13 12:17

A to rich a mixture does cause the X & R's to stall. Increasing the Co up by 10 does help with part throttle surging, if you want to get rid most of the surging I would fit an O2 controller this has been proven to be the best option on the surging front.

o having just purchased a 2010 xt660z I thought I would try a few cheap mod's, I got myself a Pipercross air filter and removed the snorkel.
Tried to adjust the Co as suggested at the start of this thread, However holding the select and adjust button down as I turn the ignition on doesn't seem to work !!!
Any ideas anyone ?

Kev 15-12-13 17:25

You can't adjust the Co in the dash on a XTZ, you can only do this on the X & R models.

You need one of these to do the diagnostics on an XTZ...

If you intend to keep your Tenere for a while, and you are keen to do all your own spannering, then it really is a "must have" bit of kit. I've already got more than my money's worth out of it.

Cheapest place to buy I've found is here.
