Eagle747 04-06-08 23:56

me too!

That's what I've ordered as well as the OTR water pump protector. That arrived today with instructions in German - but still waiting for the rest. I'm hoping they will all fit together - otherwise out with the hacksaw!

Started noticing humming sound today. When I put my hand on the bashplate, the humming went away. Strange I didnt hear this sound before. The sound is strange to explain, its sounds like an empty glass bottle in a windy day :) youknow, the humming you can do also with your mouth. this is really really annoying... maybe the sound was there before but i was just too busy listening to my OTR exhaust :)

At first I thought a some kind of engine bearing is giving excess vibrations and soon my engine will stall or something. glad I found this thread.

I think I'll use some large rubber washers instead of the metallic ones I have at the moment.

I hope that somebody here has experienced the exact same sound and I can sleep fine again :) Because I really love my XTR and I want it to work another 100 000 km :)
