Steve, how long ago did you buy your sump guard? The pic on the Kedo website seems to have a slightly wider sump guard that gives the water pump more protection. I wonder if they have altered their design..?

Hi. I bought it around 3 months ago. Not sure if they've altered it or not.

please keep us up dated on wheather they have up dated it or not. Still seems a good price over over the TT but still dont know wheather it could take massive hits like what the TT one looks like it could take.

re: the vibrations from your sump guard; have a look at this special foam used by motocrossers to keep mud from the gap between engine case and bash plate. I believe it can also cut down annoying vibes.

They look very much like the scrubbing pads that the cook should use when washing up:eusa_whistle: , never done it so...... Any way i think you can get them alot cheaper in some supermarket stores maybe. Worked beside an asda for 2 summers never went in for cleaning stuff.

Right i have just been looking over this thread and have desided that i will now buy the kedo as i have just got meself an XTR. Anyone dealed with these guys lately? or at all? Did the sending take long? and i have noticed that they have 2 different types of bash plates up as pictures for one item which one is the one i am buying??

maxwell123455 09-10-07 22:26

I could possibly be talking to myself here but hay we are all a bit crazy anyway:hae18: . I emailed kedo and found out that it is the right picture bash plate style i am getting for XT's bashplate as they dont do the left hand style picture any more (look at website link). Anyway i have just ordered the bashplate and a total of around 85E about 60 not too bad but will have to see on how good the workmanship is. Any way will keep you's informed of what happens and post some pictures later when i get it and fitted

Got the bash plate about 2 weeks ago and put it on. It does look nice and stops alot of the road crud gettin up in under the engine but as mentioned before you do notice the echo of it being there. Being a engineering mind i thought i would see what some home made rubber washers would do and they are brilliant. Stop all but the wee dinking in the back round. And after some faffing about here is a link to my bebo page where you will find some photos mid page on the right of the XTR with bash plate.

Hope you like
