Heres some videos.
First one is from spring, where I rode together with TDM850 in the forest.

Heres the video of the last trip in previous post. Had to remove audio cause youtube muted the whole video before. Not much to watch here.

Heres some forest riding with DR750. At the end theres beach fun. Sea water was down and we rode over 10km's of beach

Heres one short ride in forest road where were alot of water and almost got stuck. The deepest part of the water starts at 7:56 in the video and I got my feet wet

Some photos:

Love the C17 front. It grips very well in all the conditions Ive driven. Haven't worn at all in 2000km's. Maybe 2mm's so far. Strong noise but what do you want from a knobbie

The E09 rear is great aswell. Only thing that could be better is side traction. It slips on wet un-even grounds. Worn over 4mm's so far.

Nice photos. You'll be happy the engine is running sweet now?

You would have been glad to only have got your boots wet in that big water hole! Just as well it kept going.

Engine is running great. Yesterday i drove with KTM lc4, Honda transalp and 2x 2 stroke bikes. Kept up well with them with my knobbies in twisty and technical trails. Only deep sand is bad with heavy bike.
Couple of days ago I fell over and got half wet when I fell into deep puddle with my ass

Hey all! Just to inform you all, I sold my lovely Tenere and got myself 2012 KTM690. I got offered good price that in overall with my repair+purchase price I lost maybe 100-200. New owner liked the overall readiness of the bike: Luggage, new chain and sprockets, scottoiler, 12V plug etc. He is gonna do the Scandinavian tour and I hope it serves him well.

Right now im more into trail and forest riding and a lighter bike would be better for that sport. Im not saying Tenere is not capable of this kind of riding, but I think that I punish Tenere too much in that kind of roads. The Hyperpro springs were perfect but who knows how long they will last with that weight and bumpy forest roads. I could keep up with those light KTMs and light 2 strokes with ease.

KTM already has its typical problems(not smooth idle, stalls when idling too long and clutch slip- should be oil problem). Also got some noise from rocker or tensioner when engines hot. Getting oil change soon cause it was last changed 3 years ago but drove only 2500km's since then. Total milage 4000km.

Will still visit the forums and long live :tenere:

Enjoy the new bike mate, just change that oil ASAP as its been sitting in there that long. I would be inclined to change it again after a few hundred K's again to make sure there's no sludge in there. Performance engines rely on quality oil.

Heya all. Got the clutch problem fixed. One steel plate was damaged and changed 3 plates for 1(typical problem)
Just wanted to let you know how 690 is compared to XT660. Also my plans with it.

So lets begin:
*KTM is very light compared to Ten, also lower so I could put my feet down.
*Nimble and forgiving when you make mistake(lighter+weight is down lower compared to top heavy tenere)
*Better suspension offroad
*Very fun and fast offroad. Id guess the Teneres average speed(twisty trails like in videos) was around 30km/h and KTM can ride much faster around 50km/h average(not 100% true average speed but thats according to what I saw most of the time at speedo).
*Powerrrrrr

However cons compared to Tenere:
*Fuel range is 200kms and must refuel often
*Standing on pegs and riding is more exhausting than with tenere where everything were perfect for riding offroad when standing.
*Suspension is harsh on tarmac! Even when offroad and I even didn't put to sport settings.
*XT660 got better bottom end pull. KTM starts to live at 4000rpms.
*Headlight is crap
*Wind protection is bad but not that exhausting for 200kms straight
*Exhaust noise(SC project exhaust) is way too loud, miss the Ten's Akrapovice's.
*Reliabilty

Theres something more for sure for cons and pros but can't think anymore at the moment.

And what are the plans with that 6000€ machine: Sell it!
Because theres no point to use that expensive machine for forest riding only. I will get for example a 2007 KTM 250 EXC 2 stroke for 2900€ and thats much better and cheaper option for forest riding.
I will get a second bike for gravel and longer distance riding and I saw that XT660R prices are getting very low. 2x XT660r are for sale right now for 2600€. Some more for 2900€ and one over 3000€. So I could get two bikes for one KTM price however I need new car and must push the other bike idea to next year. Hopefully I will have enough money by then to buy XT660R or maybe TDM900(bad and too expensive tire choices for dual sport riding). XT660x is appealing also but the tire choices for gravel riding is bad as TDMs.
I liked the Xt660 engine and it got pretty good pull.
Perect combo would be: Tenere+something like 2T 250 if you had the money.
But first I must sell KTM, get new car+2T bike and try to put aside as much money as possible for future gravel road adventurer. Id say that XT660R would be nice for that.

Thanks for the info. 200k's on a tank of fuel doesn't sound like much of an adventure does it.
