What software are you using to edit ?

I've just fitted a BulletR+ to the big Honda on a semi-permanent basis. I find the quality of the video excellent (1080p), but once it's gone through editing software it looses lots of quality.

I find recording in 1080 to be a bit redundant, the file sizes are enormous, you need a really fast computer to be able to edit properly.

720p at 60fps is good enough quality and allows for those slo-mo edits.

I use a piece of software called AviDemux to cut sections out of my films. This won't convert or degrade the quality, it simply cuts out segments.

I then use the GoPro free app to edit the clips together, add music and transitions.
Takes about ten minutes to create a small edited video.

Example of my Scotland video is on my Facebook page:

Depends what you want it for.

YouTube clips riding through scenery, yes I'd agree. Recording Traffic during an accident - No (this is worse case, but I'm not interested in the former, just need to top and tail incidents)

Hey guys.....your asking me about editing.? Just ask Pleiades how long it took for me to post a photo!. On a serious note, I don't have a PC, so I took the sd card from the Gopro, put in my phone, hooked on to a customers Wi Fi and left uploading to YouTube (7hrs!). I want to make a neat little film with some music and not just the road ahead , and learn to edit if my brain will allow! . One thing, I was disappointed at how much clarity the footage has lost on YouTube. ...it's much better when first viewed on the phone. Steve

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12kjHQR2TCc i use adobe premier pro cc2014 for my editing as it seems to be the best for not degrading you're footage while not been to big size wise afterwards ..... it beats gopro studio /vegas pro/ all the cyberlink studios ......downside is you tube also degrades quality aswell ....i dont record with the gopro much tho as i dont like it been on my helmet it flattens everything off ands i cant find room on my bike to mount it and everywhere i have tried shakes way to much lol
