What software are you using to edit ?
I've just fitted a BulletR+ to the big Honda on a semi-permanent basis. I find the quality of the video excellent (1080p), but once it's gone through editing software it looses lots of quality. |
I find recording in 1080 to be a bit redundant, the file sizes are enormous, you need a really fast computer to be able to edit properly.
720p at 60fps is good enough quality and allows for those slo-mo edits. I use a piece of software called AviDemux to cut sections out of my films. This won't convert or degrade the quality, it simply cuts out segments. I then use the GoPro free app to edit the clips together, add music and transitions. Takes about ten minutes to create a small edited video. Example of my Scotland video is on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/onemooseonemotorbike |

YouTube clips riding through scenery, yes I'd agree. Recording Traffic during an accident - No (this is worse case, but I'm not interested in the former, just need to top and tail incidents) |
Hey guys.....your asking me about editing.? Just ask Pleiades how long it took for me to post a photo!. On a serious note, I don't have a PC, so I took the sd card from the Gopro, put in my phone, hooked on to a customers Wi Fi and left uploading to YouTube (7hrs!). I want to make a neat little film with some music and not just the road ahead , and learn to edit if my brain will allow! . One thing, I was disappointed at how much clarity the footage has lost on YouTube. ...it's much better when first viewed on the phone. Steve
