Thumbs up new conti tkc80's fitted.

had them on a couple of weeks now and they are brilliant, had the mettzler's on before and they are good on the road but i do a bit of green laning with my mate on his drz400sm, he has avon distanzia's on and in all this wet i leave him spinning. the grip is brilliant you dont keep thinking your gonna fall off when the bike slides to the side. i thought they were good on the road , thanks for feedback which made me buy the conti's.

They are a good compromise for road and off roading, but it depends on what type of off roading you do if they are any use, they dont really like muddy/wet boggy/slippery stuff, where as they prefer hard standing/gravelly/rocky stuff.

I put a set on and took my XTR off roading for 2 days in wales and these handled a treat, and kept up with my instructor on a husky 250 (ok he wasnt giving it the beans but was surprised i wasnt too far behind) and my dad on a hired DRZ'S with proper off road tyres (ok old man, getting on a bit, but still life in the old dog yet)

Talking conti prices

i paid 210 that included ,tyres, tubes ,rim tape ,disposal of old tyres and fitting at my house. he comes in a van all kited out for removing and balancing the tyres/wheels. it should have been 195 but cost me 15 extra because i was a good distance from where he lived. you can get a set deliverd on ebay for 135 but thats no good to me as i couldnt fit them. what do you think that price of 210 i paid is good or bad.

I bought mine from M&P think it was 115 or so. Then took the wheels off and got hurst tyres in belfast to change them over for 5 a tyre as id been in a few times before for my road tyres.

Theres a guy who runs a business in lisburn called Smoking Tyres, sort of a one man and a van show, read his website, basically he will get what ever tyres you want and can travel to fit them or you can drop in at a set time/date and he will do all the work there. Do a wee search on google you will soon find him. (Few guys in Quay vipers group used him, said he was great and cheap but they where road tyres)
