Slaley is under threat, again. NCC doc here just shows you what level of organised opposition there is to trail riding.

mac-cos 15-03-10 17:31

Skunk any chance of pinging that google route/waypoints over... they look like paths I could quite happily fall off on when testing my own ten's mud hinge (assumes this is when front wheel is ploughing a mud furrow regardless of steering lock and back wheel wants to over take and get in on the action?)

I was at Clargillhead on Sunday (digging my mates Landy out of the snow) and a number of 4x4's have just driven through the fence, it's totally goosed - there doesn't need to be an opposition to MPV's with drivers like this!

Skunkmoto 16-03-10 11:35

Route I did on Sunday wasn't a trail route I just picked a complicated route west then east up the valley, with loads of turns along the wee roads, so isn't much use, though it did pass a few trails, I'll send it as a .kml file pm me ya email.

I've only done this POI thing for half a dozen or so trails just to try the theory out. I always take maps if I'm out so if you're after a list of trails round our way then it's best to get some landranger maps 81 and 87 are a good start, and I can mark em up.

Was gonna give you a shout for last Sunday, but in the end juat didn't phone anyone as I wanted to test out the SatNav route thing by mesel, but next time I'm out will send ya a txt/post on here. Still a bit clarty and the lambs are in full production so bit restricted on trails for a couple of weeks but I'll do another route taking in a few trails and send it so we can both follow it.

AS for smahing fences, the :cens1: thing on here will delete the post, impossible to police the lanes, but I've always thought a few untaxed/uninsured vehicles siezed and crushed would go a long way to getting the idiots to stay away.

Anyway rant and thread hijack over.

Anyone got a picture of a tenere??

Sort of Tener related:

a few days ago I had a boring day at work and was having a look at a Swedish people search with a map function sort of like google maps. Then I saw this:

http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/4047/hitta.jpg

It's my Ten parked outside my office between a Bandit and some Honda (look how that dude can't keep his eyes from the tall legged beauty..).

Looks like nice biking weather, green grass, mmmm, where's my helmet? Then I looked out the window of my office and saw this:

Nope, will be a while until I take the next trip to buy an afternoon ice-cream. =)

I could make all the parts myself (if i had the tools).
I just like the simplicity of a plug and play TT-part.

I also ordered the TT-spoiler and pivotpegz.
Maybe i'll also go and buy risers, hyperpro's but i'm not sure.

Already prepping for the holiday in Pors ar Vag, France (10th july).
Looking forward to some offroading over there.

You sure that ladder's safe balanced on the handlebars?

tripletom 14-04-10 22:11

It's a small ladder, for the hamsters. They keep it balanced quite well, and then when needed they scamper up the ladder into my helmet to tell me what to do.

Nelis, no, Mitas E07s.

Oh yes ,had to carry a few bits for the other guys as they were on enduro bikes ,panniers were nearly empty except for the disposable bbq's and some nosh

tripletom 15-04-10 10:00

Fitted a DR350 front mudguard last night. Just to see what it was like. Cost me a jar of jam.

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...s/DSC00413.jpg

Doesn't seem to make any difference at 80mph, and the buffeting seems slightly less, though that could just be the way the wind was blowing.

Skunkmoto 15-04-10 10:11

Went for a "skip tea" run last night, home cuppa and out, was fab.

That's empty, this is what me and Crusty normally carry.............

http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/a...0/DSCF0192.jpg

I don't see any tank bags or tank 'panniers'

I normally carry a 5kg bag of charcoal on one of my pillion rests as well.
I'm gonna get it on a weigh bridge next time I load her up.

Hope you hav a good time, lets see some pics.
