I had a small off a little while back and the bars worked really well in protecting the bike.

Oh I see now !!

good job :)

Yeah i don't see the need for all those bars going up the side of the bike to protect the protectors :unibrow: all it's doing is adding weight and transfering the stress of a crash directly to the frame (wich may not be a prob. BUT may).
I have seen pics on here of the grey crash panels performing well enough, and yes they are not a costly item to replace "if needed". Also, remember a little bump on them doesn't mean they have to be replaced either.

Here in Oz we have B & B offroad bash plates wich gives a fair bit of protection for the water pump and IMO there's no need for the overpriced yammy engine bars if you run one of these bash plates. the only weight i want to add to the bike is my camping gear.

Indeed, bumps and scratches just adds charisma. :D

Just a reminder to all; this is not "Your Tener modifications thread". Please post awesome pics in here and try to keep the tech talk elsewhere. :mod_smilie_icon_pol :)

An afternoon playing over to the East of Nottingham...

It's a bit slippery:

Tourances not so good on wet mud/clay. Also why low front mudguards aren't so good off-road. A little bit further along I had to poke it with a stick so the front wheel would actually go round:

This one was somewhat easier going, and came with an extra bonus bridge:

Nice pics, uberthumper! Here's the 'NoGutsNoGlory-trofee' :smilies0346: for going where no Tourance has gone before!

Cheers. Although in the interests of full disclosure I'd already backed out of doing one trail because it was about 3km long and went down into a wet dip that I didn't think I'd get out of. The trail the first two photos were taken on was less than 1km long, and it was uphill, so I figured I'd always be able to turn round if I had to! Maybe not so much guts after all ;)

Hello Molgan.

I do not have much time to enter here. Sorry.
But when you have all the small changes I'm making my Tenere, I would like to submit in your thread. And then he would take him to the modifications.

Even I have a little and I read what I can.
But I really want to end now.

Morgan and his help, inspired in part my Tenere.

Pd. Sorry but I use the google translator.

Yesterday I had a short (3 hours) ride in the hills next to Jerusalem.
Everything's green after last weeks rain.

Nice shots.

Me and the lady took a 2 day trip out on the ice, just got back home. Out in the middle of nowhere I managed to kill my front fender:

Some ice got stuck on the studs and shredded the fender, so a tip to all who are planning to use studs; mount a high fender first.

My girlfriends dad tried the studded ten and seemed to enjoy it:

The girlfriend tried some other modes of transportation:

A lot of people out on the ice, and that Irish wolfhound makes the Ten look small:
