Unfortunately any exhaust that replaces the catalytic converter with a simple pipe is marked as "Race Only" which makes sense pollution-wise. :sad9: |
Hello everybody:-)

Bartosz - hi and welcome. i like what you have done with the tail, i want to do something similar. looks like you moved the plate light up....any close up photos??
|
Hello Gents, Yes i have moved reg plate light up as i don't want to be illegal... (at least with this bit :icon_colors:)
This is just quick chop job, and it's only first stage (see below) but it has to be done as i really can't stand original tail :-) My main concern was the fact that this light will be at the angle and white bulb can be visible for the drivers behind me. So i have put a stripe of black tape covering upper half of transparent plastic cover on the bottom of this bulb box (inside, nice and neat). This prove to be the perfect solution - enough light on the plate and no bright, direct light to the back. I have chop the rear plastic just below indicator mount, but in the future i'm planning to move indicators up, in to locations used for pannier rack (i think) just below rear grab handles, and then chop the plastic just above this original indicator/plate light/ reflective light mount. Will do some close up photos sunday |

Su999 - that's exactly what i want to do. Can You show on photos how did You bolt them on to the frame?
And now requested close ups from me: http://i3.fmix.pl/fmi2330/8bf6f9560027dbae5096b745 http://i2.fmix.pl/fmi2541/5a20b098001579315096b754 And one more Photo from today's ride :-) http://i2.fmix.pl/fmi1011/075147550026ac535096ad8a |
I ain't got many photos as it was a fiddly job and didn't have enough free hands to photo.
The basics are a long m6 bolt 50mm, a rubber washer & standard washer on outside to protect frame (10mm dia) Similar inside to protect frame and a nyloc nut. The cables were drawn back through the number plate mount and a fair amount of panel work and trim had to come off to enable you to get your hands / 10mm socket inside the rear frame to tighten. Hope that makes sense. |
