Replaced the damaged rear fender on my 2008 xtx with a new 2005 rear fender as they are shorter and wider and i think look better with a tail tidy and it was only8.93 ink vat from main dealer

I ordered a Puig screen for the X last week and it arrived yesterday. I know you all think they're fugly but needs must.

Anyhoo, looking at the instructions, which are written in Spanish I think, the bracket for the screen mounts by using the upper pinch bolt for the forks, on the top yoke???

So a 5 minute job of fitting it has been delayed as I'll need to get my tools and torque wrench from my folks place.

Does anyone know off the top of their head what it should be torqued to?

Thanks in advance.

I got the Kev fork spacer thingies fitted to my XTX and blimey the handling is soooooooo much better, I had not realised how much the forks travelled just braking for the traffic lights. Now the bike feels 100 times more stable and composed, so much safer and quicker to ride. Thanks Kev xxx

Just finished swapping my progressive fork springs for linear Ohlins. Wasn't overly happy with the ride on the progressives - harsh over small irregularities on the road which was getting tiring on a long run.

I'll make a few notes and pen a comparison when I've got a few miles under me belt...

Made the most of the cr.p weather and spent the day in the garage.
Oil and filter change, blocked the AIS from the inside of the airbox, greased the airbox joints, replaced front and back brake pads replaced the front 14t sprocket with the standard 15t and tightened all the spokes that needed a tweek. Ready to go now once that long awaited Scottish Summer arrives.:aska[1]:

Fitted Projection Components adjustable raising links...

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ike/Links2.jpg

There are four positions to fit them that raise by 5mm, 10mm, 25mm and 40mm, however I fitted them in the +10mm position (120mm hole centres) and then measured the lift at +18mm! :102:

I was actually after 15mm, so all in all I'm happy. :D
