I washed my bike...... not much of a story, but it's the second time this year so something of a rare event.

hahaha what 2 times this year, i think my mate would have washed his bike more times than this and hes only owned it for 1.5 weeks, half of that and its been in the garage getting some mods added to it.

Yes Darren my mate thomas who you meet at the lake district about 2 years ago bought himself a ducati 620!!!! yes hes 6ft2, lives in london and likes long weekend rides bought a ducati:017:

Didnt do anything with it but bought myself a set of leather trousers from Hein Gericke with there sale on. After 7 years of searching ive finally found a set of leather trousers that fit. Took me long enough

I installed new LED indicators on the front of the bike. The rear still needs to be done because of the cables of the cheap ebay indicators being way to short!

I also looked for the diagnostics connector under the dash to connect a 12v socket to but couldn't find it. I read something about it here on this forum but I believe it was on a XT660Z. It was a 12v switched 2 pin connector used for diagnostics. Do any of you know if the diagnostics connector exists on an XT660X?

Took the Z'ed for its first MOT.

Failed on a non working reg plate light and two loose spokes, but the guy had a spare lamp for the rear and tweaked up the spokes................and a PASS! So I'm good to go for the next year and Ireland in a couple of week time.
Fishguard - Rosslare then Belfast - Cairnryan. About a week over there with the Annual Thumper Club meet somewhere in the North.

Will need a new rear tyre though, sigh!

OTR parcel arrived today.

Collected a rather large box from the mail centre today containing H&B crash bars, high front guard, centre stand and a rear brake leaver. :080:
Fitted the guard straight away, very little clearance to the radiator.
Stuffed around trying to get it to sit forward a bit but no luck.
Fitted the H&B bars but had to remove the new guard to fit the front cross brace.
Now the guard does not clear the cross brace at all.
Little bit disappointed but nothing a heat gun or some alterations to the mounting holes wont fix.
The guard looks like it is slightly adjustable when mounting with the red plastic insert which is toothed on one side but it aint. :angry9: At least not tonight anyway.
All back together and still rubbing but not catching anywhere so will do until tommorrow night.

Got a couple of stickers in the mail from the Guv as well, nice.
