tool tube

Decided that I would fit a tool tube. Made up a bracket that would fit the adventurespec type of tube.

Today was nothing exciting,
Fitted k+n airfilter, the old one was filthy
Changed the oil and filter, again filter in disgusting state,
Dropped in a ngk iridium plug,
Raised co by a further 2, so total raised is now 12
Has reduced surging a little more, almost completely gone
I await my 10k resistor get that in tomorrow hopefully

Last week I installed the Kev O2 Eliminator Mod. Having ridden about 250kms I can tell that it truly works!! The surging has been eliminated and the bike feels more rideable, especially in corners when you have the throttle stable! :coolsmiley:Now it is so smooth with low speeds and I can enjoy more my ride! This is one of the best mods I fitted to my bike!:thumbsup[1]:

20 000 km maintenance

I had already done the really easy stuff, so the shop only did the valve clearings and a few checks, just to keep the maintenance book complete. Surprisingly only after 20 000 km the exhaust clearance needed to be adjusted.

Anyway, bike's even better now.

Fitted pivot pegz. Took me more than 4 minutes per side, more like 10 mins per side. Havent had a chance to ride with them but just sitting on the bike pretending to ride, they feel amazing.

Rounded my first bolt off yesterday. ;)
Exhaust header bolt. The 2 outside ones looseded no problem.
The two inside ones were full of shyt and rust.
When I'd cleaned them out and tried to turn one with allen key, it rounded off nicely.
Wanted to remove pipes to paint black. That'll be another post now. ;)

Also Kev's throttle grip mod. After failing the exhaust mod but still in the fiddling mood. Only cut a depth of 1mm, being cautious.
No drill bit small enough at home, so I used a junior hacksaw, removing and snapping the blade to reach the last bit (the little nobbles on the blade got in the way). Using more like a file as the blade is quite thin. Maybe a fullsize hacksaw blade would've been easier.? An unexpected change for the better.

(Boring) but I also upped Co setting by two more. Has been stalling more recently on deceleration, this seems to have fixed that.
:)
