I purchased a new Avon Distanzia rear tyre for my XTX from eBay. It arrived today and I now realise my bikes current rear tyre is well worn! I noticed a nasty cut in the tyre on Sunday whilst out riding so decided to replace it immediatly.

I fully expect it to improve the handling in the corners as I had noticed the handling starting to deteriorate due to a squared off rear tyre.

I called my nearest bike shop who fitted my last tyre to be told I can drop it off and collect in 8 days! I said forget it so Wednesday I am going to attempt to fit it myself. Good practise as I have never swapped a motorcycle tyre in my life. I have the tools already, just never used them so here goes.

Today there was lots of polishing on menu.
Ufff, hard work!

Close to the end. Just need to put some protection lack tomorrow and fit it on the bike. Get him one nice cleaning and then I am ready for the season!
