Dude,I think your fuel consumption is the giveaway. You should atleast get 170km till the light comes on.Has your TPS been changed?Whats it set at.Before the TPS recall my TPS malfunctioned & wouldnt go below 40,hence it was running very rich. Also if the TPS is set too high it tends to flood when the throttle is opened suddenly.

Think the main reason for the hostility and piss taking Bongoman is that you have come on here and slagged off your bike and said Yamaha are useless but you also say you are a race car mechanic and the team you are in are championship winners, thus suggesting you are a mechanic of some quality and standing. With this in mind, why are you not able to sort the bike yourself? I have sorted mine myself, by using information, tips and advice from the people on this site, why dont you do the same? Why would you need someone to come and do it for you? You are offering full workshop facilites and all tools, why dont you use them yourself? All the help and info you need is here, just calm yourself down and have a go. Would you really pay for someone to fly to you to fix it? I am sure you can do it yourself, ask Matron if you can have a look at it after breakfast!!!!!!!:byesmiley:

Bongoman, you are right. How rude of me to tell you to STFU. Who do I think I am? Please accept my apologies for the language I have used towards you.

I don't act like this with any other forum members, it should not be the way I should be talking to people, but hey hang on a minute there is a limit to what anyone can put up with, I have seen, read and put up with more than can be deemed plausible from you. Like AJT660 told you its all down to the way you have come here and bragged about yourself.

As for me I am the owner of the website and forum and I should treat everyone nicely, it's true. But just a minute, why should I? After all I am just a human being, owning the forum does not make me special so.... just for a minute forget the fact that I do own the place and let me tell you, if I pinch myself I do feel it and that means I am human like everyone else. At the same time I know I am not a push over, and why should I let anyone breach my peace and irrupt into my private life and bother me "after hours" like you did. The forum does not know (and I think it's time it does know) that you had the nerve to contact me privately by msn, one evening, to bore the pants off me with your rants about your bike to the point where I had to put your msn contact on ignore.

Additionally, the forum does not know the content of the private messages exchanged between you, Kev and myself in trying to genuinely help you with your issues before we lost our patience with you.

Every bit of information and help we have given you has not been received with gratification from you just because you couldn't sort it out, instead of thanking us for our time and dedication, all you could do is come back with more complaints about your bike and unhappiness with it and us.

All I can do from my side is to be human and say a big Sorry to you for voicing my frustration openly, but we did try to help you, not just me but a whole bunch of us and you have not appreciated it.

Now you are offering someone to come and sort your bike with all expenses paid? The thought of watching paint drying is more appealing to me, to be honest. I can't speak for Kev but since he is already in Australia, and if he is willing to help you I suggest you get into one of your racing truck (all good formula racing teams should have one) and take your bike from Bovral City to Brisbane to visit Kev and see if he is still willing to help you and demonstrate that it can be fixed. But as I've said he might not be in the spirit.

Thank you and once again sorry for my language. Now please leave us in peace or I am going to have to really show you who's boss and silence you in the forum permanently.

Im talking about being abit more tactfull with your approach towards people on the forum. You have a moany and attacking approach. Why dont you calm down, listen and take the advice thats been given. My bike ran like a pig when i first got it, After a tps change, this, that and the other bits and bobs added, it runs like a dream.. Why dont you do the same. There is a problem with the fueling on this bike , its poor but there you go. :SoBored_YGAAH7:

Here Here well said guys, mine is sorted with a little help from you lot the bike has all the bits I want and runs well, so thanks for that,
Bongoman you must be able to sell the bike for something near what you bought it for even in an out of town advertisment paper or even ebay, one mans meat is another mans poison, if all else fails set the ***** on fire, :smilies0943:

not a problem and its obvious the way i came across but to be frank i have no stone unturned on that bike. really i have gone through manual from a to Z.i have even sent the bike to yamaha for almost 2 months and it isnt much better.its not about how great a mecanic i am or anything it about frankly not being able to fix it.or perhaps more importantaly change the characteristics of it perhaps.it just lacks bottom end , at best is shaky.what else can i say???yamaha havnt got it any better then i did way from it, put the idle at 1870 to stop it from stalling. i have sold the bike today for aud 5600.00 thats 2400 less then what i paid for it and you name it its got it new oil fluid ecu tps tank stickers fuel .perhaps did not meet my expectations simply put.I f i came across wrong or appearred to really want to stir anyone in particular i deeply regret and apologize my intentions were not to put anyone off side ever.the message i was trying to get across is that very early i could not see a solution to the problems i was having with that particular bike i knew from the beginning that it was doomed.once again i apologise deeply and hope that this forum understands that perhaps i never intended to put anyone down ..this bike to me clearly didnt perform to me the way i thought it should.that being said i wish you all the best and sincerely hope that you guys keep the xt feeling i definitely have with my 1977 xt 500.the 660 is sold to some dude that i am sure will be happy with it..wish you all the best.Stephane
