So let me get this right... You fixed it (hopefully) in the end, not the dealer? Or did you mean that they (dealer) replaced the connector block etc and you then mounted it in its new location? Sorry if I'm being a little slow here!

always wondered why the reg/rec was put there ?

mod looks good did that have to fabricate a new barcket ?
