By the way are you round Brighton (you seem to know the shop???)

your paying for somthing you dont need even the handbook states full synthetic may make the clutch slip
stick to a name you trust by all means

have a troll round on the net ect ect
but full synthetic is not the way to go

I agree with minkyhead.

Try Opie oils who are now promoted (ing) on our beloved forum somewhere..

It doesn't, at least in my bike. Admittedly I've not done many km yet, and I'm in no hurry do rack them up, but full synthetic is good imo.

Annoyingly, Penrite have altered their 5W60, in the process dumping its MA rating. I've now changed to Motorex CrossPower 10W60, which is excellent so far. And for all the haters of heavier oils, KTM and husky four strokes (including big-bore singles like the TE 630) are supposed to run on oils of this grade. If you don't want to use it, well, as has been said earlier the Ten will run on chip oil (longevity aside!), so to each their own. It probably makes very little difference.

I've got the CrossPower 10W60 in my TTR250 as well, and with 54,000km (and about 3,500 hours) not too far off it runs fine with it.

I recently changed the oil and used Valvoline durablend 10w40 4t. Unfortunately the engine became annoyingly vibey above 3500rpm.
Now I'm looking forward to the next oil change.
