If anyone doubts the gains of any DNA filters have a look at the dyno sheets, the dyno does not lie.
DNA have shown they are quite prepared to send samples of their filters to Freez & myself for independent dyno testing. In past tests I did independent dyno testing with their stage 1 & 2 filters for the XTX & XTR, I found their output figures quite accurate. So I have no reason not to believe that the stage 3 won't work on the XTZ. The price, that is another thing. I do know DNA has spent alot of time & money on research & development on the XT660 of late. I think the price is an individual thing, don't get me wrong all comments are welcome. I am sure we will see quite a few positive comments once a few of these filters have been fitted to the XTZ. |
If dna want to send me a stage 3 feel free i will get it on the rolling road and print the results before and after and then give the xt660 forums the maps to use after... :)
i would like to see the difference on a dyno with a dna filter stage 2 and stage 3 airbox mod with a pvc before and after. |

Please Pay Attention
After lenghty discussions, we have managed to obtain the most competitive deal for the sale of these Tenere Stage 2(3) filters. We have been made aware of a UK based company underselling these, and it turned out they made a pricing error on their website. Simple as that.
Now this company has revised their price and in the good spirit of fair trading myself and DNA have decided that to clear the air we can offer a more competitive price than ANY other hillbilly out there on the web so please find below the final price for these filters with various shipping charges for Europe or the rest of the World. The DNA Stage 2(3) for the Tenere is now 80 = equivalent to 72 Shipment to UK & Europe is now 8 = equivalent to 7.20 (remember they are shipped from Greece) and Shipment to the rest of the World is now 16 = equivalent to 14.40 Please also note that I've heard it from the horse's mouth that no other dealer on the web is yet to receive any stock of these new filters as they have only been completed last week, their stock will be sent out from DNA in batches at a later date, whereas if you were to order one from us now, you could get it by Wednesday 2nd Dec. And that is how good we are here. If any of you have already ordered from other sources be prepared for a lenghty wait or you can cancel your order with them and order them here instead. |
Hi
A quick question is there enough range of adjustment on the KEV mod to run the stage 3 filters on the tenere maybe not long term but until you can afford a powercommander Thanks Gary Thanks |

The filter and the XT660 forum price offer are very promising. I do know that I need a PC but that one is already on my wishlist. But I do have another question.
The air filter is exposed to the weather. At least, much more then the regular filter that lives under the saddle. I do live in the Netherlands nearby the coast and we do have lot's of rain. Really, not a little but sometimes really days of moisture, rain, light rain or heavy rain. Ofcourse, I do ride in the rain too. Can this all influence the quality of filtering by this filter? (BTW at the office and my home, my bike is also parked outside, and most of the time without any cover). |
Dino has specified that this filter can witstand any weather except that it is not advisable to fully submerge the bike in water in extreme conditions, such as wading on small river crossing etc etc. For the conditions wihch you have specified the filter is more than safe and suitable. Don't forget these filters are washable and can be regenerated with the cleaning kit available separately.

In two minds about this, just take the plunge and get me some Crimbo treats, or wait till next year and better weather, the bike's not going to get much use over the next few months, then again it's the best time to fiddle with the thing. Decisions decisions.
Sooo.... I'd need: PCV - best price I've googled so far is 280. DNA - Stage 1, replacement filter 28. DNA - Stage 2, replacement for the snorkel/top o'the air box 30. From the Cap'n LSH airbox cover. A dyno day. Questions Are the DNA PCV 'maps' available if I pay my tenner? These should be used as a starting point and my bike setup on the dyno for optimum running? The dyno chaps should be able to tweak the settings using the PCV software? |
