There is a map supplied with the Stage 3 filter (plus stock pipes), but it doesn't say if it's a 3 or 5 map.

I think I might be tempted with the S1, S2 and S3 filters, when the S3 cover comes along (help me cope with the Lakeland water courses, sorry, roads)

The question I have, which is related to Pete's, is about the PC , is the map 3 or 5 ?, and are there maps available for Stage 1+2 and Stage 1+2+3 ?? (I'm thinking about the switchable map of the PC-V , could have one with the S3 filter covered and one without ??).

Sorted the suspension, now for a bit more power......

Just a question? I had a 08 TE610 and I opened up the side to let it breath better. What is stopping someone just drilling out the side of the cover and covering it with some gauze fromthe local auto shop? And do you need a second air filter? whats wrong with just the one? Just curious as I want what most guys want, BANG FOR THEIR BUCK.

Look at the comparison charts supplied by DNA, with their professional tests made that show what filter combination gived the best air flow coefficient.

The difference with the Tenere is that the whole airbox is post filter (ie. the air inside is after it's been filtered) - therefore if you drilled out the side panel and put in a gauze, the original filter would now be all but redundant and there would be no filtering to speak of - it would technically still work, but suck in so much dust water etc etc that the engine wouldn't last long...

Please Note

Please take note of one more detail in regards to the Stage 3 Filter, Gas_Up_Lets_Go enquired about which map comes with this filter PCIII or PCV, originally Dino had only made one for the PCIII but said that the data can be converted to PCV, and eventually today he confirmed that from now on, these filters will ship with both maps one for the PCIII and one for the PCV and for the PCV he has also included a factor for the Autotune in case someone has it together with their PCV.

I think this latest addition makes the whole deal priceless.

I agree. for the same money as a leovince system, you can get PC-V, a map and the S1,2+3 Airbox mods.... and keep your standard pipes!

I feel a birthday pressy to myself coming on...

Good reply JMO,

Guys, you must all understand that DNA can offer upgrade filter solutions that are safe for your bikes engine, ONLY!
If anyone wants to drill, cut, etc. the air box or the bike!!! It is their choice.
Clean filtered air, protects the engine and makes more power, dirty air grinds the engine and finally kills it.
It is up to you to choose.
And one important note for XTZ owners:
During the development of the DNA S2(3) air box cover filter, we found that both the stock air box covers leak air (dirt). So we suggest to all of you remove the covers, clean the inside of the air box and apply air filter grease, or silicone grease, or Vaseline on the O-rings, until the groove that the O-rings sits in is completely covered. Re-install the covers, clean the excessive grease and you have done a big favor to your bike!!!

Best regards,

I'd like to do some back to back runs with the mods.

Fitting the PCV is a bit of a chore, so can I run with a 'zero' map in the PCV for stock bike?

I'm guessing I just type '0' in the table thingy in the software save it off (different name) and load it into the PCV.

Yes, that is certainly possible - if all the parameters are set to Zero, it would be the same as not having it connected...

Personally I'd make the Zero map the second map (ie. the switched one - map 2), that way when you unplug the switch, the PCV is running the custom map for your modifications as the default position?

This is how mine was set up, although I can't see myself ever fitting the original filter/snorkle/exhaust (especially as that has been chopped to pieces by Stoic now x), therefore the bike just runs in position 1 now which is the custom map.
