I bought the ASV levers from JMo; I think she put up the part numbers in one of her posts - I'll see if I can dig it up.

I've also discovered Barkbusters do Tenere handguards and they do look pretty substantial, but they also supply new bar ends. So I have emailed them to ask for the weight of the bar ends they supply.

Has anybody fitted these barkbuster handguards?

Not personally, but it looks interesting: http://www.adventure-spec.com/shop/b.../prod_197.html

It looks like it comes with a barend weight that is 'inside' the handguard. The size is I believe larger than TT's but smaller than stock. IT's still rather substantial to me. In addition, the deflector itself is wide and it seems it takes into account of the difference in length between the levers and the guards. Plus it's aluminum on the side. The only question is will it hit the windscreen on full turns.

Does anybody have an alternative number for anybody at Aventure spec? No reply to email and no answer on the phone!

I just got my handguards, but no time to put them on.
Sunday i will get Hotgrips, so then i will put them on.

Right now i got the Yamaha handquards (without spoiler).

bexman 06-11-09 17:02

did you buy the Barkbusters Nelis? How long did they take to arrive?

Nelis 06-11-09 21:46

I got TT guards because i didn't want to mess with weights and cutting them.
It took them 2 weeks to arrive at my dealer.

I'm not sure why it took so long, but i'm not in a hurry.
The dealer even took some fog lights of the Limited edition to spare me another few weeks of waiting.

I just got an idea:
Isn't it possible that you have less vibrations when using the rubber (oxford) grips instead of the standard hard plastic grips?

I think that the rubber will also absorb some of the vibes.
