Sheep-skin seat cover?

I'm contemplating modifying/adding padding to my seat as it has sagged a little to the point that my thighs could feel a bit of the frame because I had the foam shaved off for my height. Sheep-skin idea came to mind because I heard so much of its comfort, but I am concerned with how it stands in the elements. I have the fast white Tenere, so naturally I would go for the creamy skin color, will it get disgustingly dirty, will it get sogged after rain and would not dry quickly even with high-powered dry-cloth. Has anyone used it before, on the Tenere or other bikes? Which one is better: just get a skin and strap it on, or re-upholster it with the skin? Any tips/opinions are welcome.
