Which Tyres do you have?

Please let us know which tyres you use, to see which one is the most popular brand and model.

Thanks

Obviously this poll is meant to find out what everyone chose to fit after the STD Pirelli have squared off and died ever so prematurely, however the choice is there for you once the poll has been fully been representated by the majority of members, it has to be said that tyre choice is strictly personal and some people might love Pirelli and Bridgestone and some other hate them, Continentals and Dunlop are popular but me I prefer Avons and Maxxis so again its personal taste. I don't like semi slicks I prefer tyres with a more pronounced tread pattern on them, and thats not because of look but because of my riding style I need more grip and water repulsion because I ride in all kinds of weather. Wet and sometime -5 in the winter mornings so for me the softer and grippier the tyre the better. I have got no time to wait for tyres to warm up.

Other - please specify:

I'm currently running Conti TKC 80 front and Mich MT21 rear for offroad summer riding.

Later in the year as it gets wetter I'll go back to the stock XT660R treads.

I'd be interested to know what offroad treads others are using both for on and off road riding.

What do you mean by soft?

I admit the XT is a little heavy but with the right tyres it can cope with most greenlanes out there.

Then again, the rest of my TRF group think I'm mad to trail such a bike!

Heidenau

Ive just fitted set of heidenau k73. Now my xtx handles like it should at gravel, lets see how long these tyres last. Mainly I bought heidenaus because they were so cheap, had pair of those at the price of a one big manufacturers tyre.
