Thanks Josephau!
A looooot of goodies to buy to my Tenere there. Good to see how the black Motec Trax cases becomes the black tenere!

josephau do you think you could fit the touratech sump guard and tool box with any of the crash bars or are the crashbar bottom mounting bracket to low to be able to fit the sump guard

Thanx, Josephau! The industry picks up really well for our Tenere, don't they? The Givi luggage system is UGLY, never on a bike of mine! But hey, there's lots of other good stuff, that'll be functional and lookin'good! I'll be ordering some Touratech stuff shortly, see how fast they deliver. Greetz, Hans.

Good question and tough to know. My guess is no, because the touratech toolbox has to fit with their own "large" bashplate. Where the bashplate is mounted and where the toolbox sticks out seem to me that they would be in the way of where the crash bars from the manufacturers I've seen are going. You may want to take another look at the pics and judge it yourself.

While I was in Cologne, I also visited Off-the-Road and got some Nology ignition cable and NGK Iridium spark plug. My initial feeling is the engine runs a bit smoother, i.e. thumper sounds are at a slightly higher frequency.
I am also seriously thinking about getting their single-can exhaust. I picked up the stock exhaust that was lying around in his shop, then pick up their single can, boy, that's a big difference. He turned it on and let me hear it, the only way I can describe it is it is 'throatier'. I like it. Any suggestions or criticism on why I should or should not get this single can would be appreciated. Off-the-road also told me that Wilburs have come up with some shocks and fork springs specifically for the Tenere, which also has something to do with lowering the bike and decreasing the front dive when braking. I wasn't paying too much attention to that as I was rushing to the bike show. Whoever interested may want to call Thorsten to ask about it. |

It's probably old age, I keep forgetting bits of info.
On shocks, Touratech is already offering on its catalogue Ohlins shock and fork springs, pricey, the shock is almost EUR 1000. I also inquired WP of making a shock for Tenere, they could only tell me they hope to have one sometimes in May. |
