While I was in Cologne, I also visited Off-the-Road and got some Nology ignition cable and NGK Iridium spark plug. My initial feeling is the engine runs a bit smoother, i.e. thumper sounds are at a slightly higher frequency.
I am also seriously thinking about getting their single-can exhaust. I picked up the stock exhaust that was lying around in his shop, then pick up their single can, boy, that's a big difference. He turned it on and let me hear it, the only way I can describe it is it is 'throatier'. I like it. Any suggestions or criticism on why I should or should not get this single can would be appreciated.
Off-the-road also told me that Wilburs have come up with some shocks and fork springs specifically for the Tenere, which also has something to do with lowering the bike and decreasing the front dive when braking. I wasn't paying too much attention to that as I was rushing to the bike show. Whoever interested may want to call Thorsten to ask about it.
