Tail bag / rear rack

Hi - can anyone recommend a good looking rear rack and/or a tail bag (smaller size i.e 20-30lt) to fit either a rack or thew seat - I know you can get the official XT660x yam accessory - but it looks pretty naff.

Many thanks for any advice

Oxford do quiet alot of different tail bags/combo stuff, worth looking in there.

Ive a cheaper 20 tail pack from them, doesnt look the best as its just a massive cube of space but does its job when needed and was cheap.

Halford,

I bought one of the Tail bags from the Off The Road team and its now up for Sale. It has neve been used. The beauty of this one is that it slips over the rear tail plastics and then fastnes to the rear grab rails.

It cost me 75 but if you or anyone else is interested then you can have it for 50 incl of postage. Drop me a PM if need be.

Cheers

I think all racks spoil the looks of the XTs. My choice of luggage is the Oxford Lifetime Expander Sports Humpback (28ltrs)which can be tank/tail/rucksack as required. I place a shaped piece of felt carpet underlay on the plastics.

For my monthly visit to the shops in Spain I add the matching throw over panniers (65ltrs). No burn problems on CCC carbon exhausts.

Many thanks guys for helping me begin my search, and thanks to motonacio for the big welcome.

But not sure whether to thank CaptMoto as now I've been to the Metal Mule site, a tail bag is the least of my worries - now figuring out how I can pay for a raditor guard, hi-level exhaust, bash plate etc etc
.......... Nah, thanks Guv.

p.s. I'm still a XT660X wanabee ..........
waiting until Jan 2009 in hope the 0% deal comes back (noticed it was on at the beginning of 2008).

By the way ... what are the standard Pirelli Dragons Like ?

I was thinking of negotiating a deal to have a front - Avon Azaro Pro-Xtreme Rain and rear - Avon Distanzia fitted for North East Winter commuting.
