Exclamation 660R fork help needed...seriously confused

Hi Guys

So I just opened up my forks for the first time and big surprise!

I found a 30mm spacer and a progressive spring!

Now for the confusion part.

The factory springs arent progressive are they?

If it is a after market progressive spring it shouldn't need a spacer right??? Spring is 630mm long and 5mm diameter.

Air gap is 425mm

Thanks for any input

Probably a silly question but was everything to your satisfaction with the fork action BEFOrE you stripped it?..

If it was why worry?..

My xt660r, 2007, came from the factory with progressive springs. Without spacers.
Are you sure about the air gap? I think it should be around 125 mm.

125mm is correct, but that is when the forks are fully compressed. Thanks, I had no idea that some came with progressive springs, I thought that was only an aftermarket thing.
