Filling coolant liquid

Hi there fellow XT owners!

This is my first post here, I hope I posted in the right corner. I bought my first bike, a '05 xtx last week.

I want to refill the coolant liquid, because currently the level is on the 'low' indicator of the expansion bottle. The liquid seems to be topped up however when opening the refill cap on the radiator.

My question is: How do I refill coolant liquid to the expansion bottle? I can't use the normal cap as the service manual told me to do.

Kind regards

Not sure what you mean by this?

You should be able to fill the coolant system via the radiator cap, then refill the reservoir through it's own cap to the correct level.

Thanks Pleiades,

Problem solved. I thought I had to refill the system through the cap of the radiator, but I had to refill the system through the expansion bottle cap.

Regards
