What Map for my XTX? - need help

Hy Folks!

First, sorry for my bad Englisch, im from Austria and typing in Englisch is not easy for me ;-)

Im searching for a map for my XT660X.

My Setup is:
2008 Yamaha XT660X
O2 Eliminator with Power Commander 3
K&N Aftermarket air filter
Airbox internal rubber air duct removed
Stock Exhaust!

with this setup my bike was set on the dynamometer, but now i would buy a DNA Stage 2 Filter! which map would fit? (without which I would have on the dynamometer again)

Can i take the "M412-516.djm" map from the original Dynojet PC-3 maps?
(is there a problem because the construction year is 2005 but my one is 2008?)

The Info of the 516 map is :
2005 Yamaha XT660 European model
Stock exhaust
DNA stage 2 air filter kit

Would it Fit or is there a better map i can take?

Hi Clint and welcome to the forum.

Your best bet is to join the XT Supporters scheme, it only costs 10GBP and will give you access to download any of the PC maps listed in the "Ask Kev" section. This part of the forum is not accessible to ordinary members.

Just after a quick look through the maps available I can see several that would suit your needs.

You do know you can use your PCV Windows software to convert any PCIII map into a PCV map, this means you can chose any of the PCIII maps import it into your PCV software & it will build you a PCV map to send to the Power Commender.

As Kev says, you can import PCIIImaps.

In the PCV software go to "File", then "Import PC3 USB Map" and then choose the PCIII map you want to import. All it does is reformat the blocks for the PCV and averages the 10% and 20% columns to fill in the 15% one for the PCV.

All you have to do then is save it as a .pvm file.

If you want you can also copy all of the blocks in the PCIII map, then open the PC5 "zero" map and paste them into it. Then rename the file when you save it to keep your "zero" map.

Sorry for the late reply!
I do not have Paypal, and for only a map that would not be beneficial for me?

I could deploy my map for the data base if someone had a suitable map for me?

As I have said is my configuration
2008 Yamaha XT660X
O2 Eliminator with Power Commander 3
K & N aftermarket air filter
Airbox internal rubber air duct removed
Stock Exhaust!

All set on the Dyno!

question:
Now, if I mount the DNA Stage 2, it runs much too lean? or can I just put +3 or any other number over my entire map in the PC Software? Would that work or is it through the DNA Stage 2 completely different?

First of all your English is not too bad and you can begin to improve it by dropping the letter "c" from the word English, it's English not Englisch, ok?

My advice to you before you even look at different maps is to invest in a DNA stage 2 filter which really gives a performance boost. What you have as a setup with just the main filter changed with a K&N and the standard exhaust will not make a lot of difference whichever map you use. It may give you a better fuelling overall but the bike won't go any better than it does as it is.

yes, the google translate helps me a little bit...(English at school a long time ago). in German it is called "englisch" so it was a thinking error by me!

yes my bike is running well, I think that the previous owner of my xtx has made this setup with the power commander because of the better running all about, and not for most HP ... constant driving jerking ect.. .. (I hope this is the correct word?).

But what i dont understand or know is when i buy me the DNA Stage 2 now, then the PC map must changed to the richer setting?...or is that not so necessary because my map setting is allready riched a bit (K&N Snorkel off).
