please help....(cables)

guys... i really need your help!!! i can not get my new lengthened throttle cables to work properly but i need my bike up and running as i have trips arranged.

I dont technically know how to install throttle cables - as in, where you should start your adjusts from and so on. I just always play until it works.

I noticed that the cables had to be in the exact right postion, if you pull them down or to the side just a touch, the throttle action will stiffen up. my main prob is when locking the bars from right to left. 9 times of 10 all is cool and the throttle action is fine.

but 1 out of 10 times.....and the cables get caught on the support that holds the front cowl on. This jams the throttle!

i use Renthal Dakar high bars with 20mm shim stack risers. The new cables are 75mm longer than standard (Cost around 65).

there too bloody long arent they???? have any of you guys had lengthed cables. what length should i have gone for?? (so pissed of right now!!)
