Michelin T63 vs tkc80's

dont mean to start a war but I've heard alot of (varied) views on the tkc80's as an on/off road tyre, but most seem to rate them quite high.
i recently bought an xtr for commuting and a bit of greenlaning and it came with road tyres fitted and a pair of tkc80's (rear is worn too far).

anyone riding with the t63's? how well do they last? and would they ride well with a tkc80 front? would be a shame to waste it.

Ah, just saw the old t63 thread which had answered most of my questions. Still would like to know which set people rate the best for 80% on and 20% off road.

I helped my friend to mount T63 and they look fine, many likes Heidenau. K60 Scout to mount in rear and choose other in front like T63 the last very long.

I haven,t test them my self but many long distance bikers like them especially rear tyre. I don,t like this dual tyres therefore I have two sets of wheels.

You mean you change tyres everytime you go off road? Surely that's a pain in the arse.

I have TK80's for winter use they last three winters before I kill them. Millage on and off road varies but max out at 4000 miles back 5000 front but must admit thats on the Mr T XT1200Z

Personally I always use Conti tyres as i find them outstanding value for money and can rack up 11000 per set quite easily before need a change!
