Problem with fitting metal mule exhaust

Hi folks,

A while ago I bought a MM 2-1 exhaust system and only just recently fitted it. To get around the hot pipe near leg problem I heat wrapped the front pipes. No matter what I do the link pipe just touched the frame where it goes through behind your ankle and up to the silencer. Has anyone else had this problem?? Should I just ignore it and just ride?

In addition to this the front pipe is touching the engine casing at the front where the oil filter housing is. Now that could be the thickness of the heat wrap. When I look at the Metal Mule website I see that there own picture shows virtually a few millimetres of clearance on their own bike.

I am interested to hear any comments from others out there???
