I spotted these on ebay at a ridiculously cheap price, says they fit CRF and YZF Triple Clamps.. If i was to buy these forks along with a second hand set of triple clamps and machine the stem to fit the tens stem bolt would they work? i have some questions about problems that may be ahead.. Will the steering stops still work so the forks dont bash into the frame or radiator? can the forks be lowered 4cm to match the fork length of the standard ten forks? i no the security lock wont work anymore, and il also need to rebuild the forks with heavier springs to match the tens weight. id also go with new Excel wheels and talon hubs with a single 300 front 2 piston caliper |

More or less yeah.
It's worth checking the steering stem length on the intended bikes. The Tenere one is quite long, so the yokes might be a bit further apart than they would be. Not a problem as long as they still clamp on the right bit of the forks - you'll note they aren't a single diameter all the way up. Lockstops - I'd be surprised if the ones on your donor set of yokes will be right for the Ten, but that should be easy to overcome if you've got access to a machine shop. The ones on the OTR yokes (for WP48 forks) are just round bushes bolted into a tapped hole on each side of the bottom yoke. Springs - I'd just try it and see before you commit to having the forks rebuilt, you might be surprised - depends if the forks are sprung for a fat motocrosser or a lightweight enduro rider ![]() Yeah, steering lock just won't work unless you're very lucky with the amount of material on the top yoke and can do some clever machining.
