I'm looking for some help as I'm getting a bit frustrated with this.

I started the bike to take it out of the garage yesterday morning and let it sit for a couple of hours. After that I tried to start it with no luck. It gives me a code 19 that according to the manual is " Open circuit in the input line, Black/red ECU lead (broken or disconnected)".

I ran the diagnostic mode and apparently the problem is the side stand: it shows "off" for code 20 when extended AND retracted. I cut the side stand cable right above the connector and bridged. Did not work. Still code 19.
I don't understand is why if the problem is the side stand switch why shorting it does not work...

I checked to see if there was any connection loose or shorts and cannot find anything. The spark plug did not look that good. Replaced it but still code 19..

One odd thing I found when running the diagnostic was that the relay unit (diade) only gives me the expected continuity results when I invert the probes on the voltmeter... Odd for me that know close to nothing about electricity....

Any ideas?
