Lightbulb xtx tyres

any one got any ideas for good sticky tyre(dry use only).got conti road attack at mo on back.done 2500miles on it still like new but no grip when temp drops below 15-20deg's,deadly in the wet.looking for decent life?bike came with pirelli diablo(very sticky,no life).front diablo still good,4500miles from new, sticks like sh*t to a blanket!!

Hi s.steele259

Welcome to the forum . I would definately recommend the Avon Distanzia's. I know they are they are not a specialist dry tyre but they have given me so much more confidence full stop. I ride all weathers to work and they are great tryes. Rode about a 1000 miles so far with no sign of wear. They came highly recommended by forum members. Dont worry that they look a bit like off roadish chunky type tyres, they are far superior to the pirelli's in my book.

Busters Accessories. Or search Ebay for a pair deal.

Ive recently (1000mile) fitted a new tyre on the front of mine and used a 65 profile rather than the original 70. Handles so much better. (though that could also be going from a ****e tyre to a good one :P)

Got michelin pilot sport on mine and they're great tyres. Pretty good in the wet as well. Used them on my other bikes and rate them. Got Avon ST on my cbr at the moment and have been using these for about 8k and they're probably the best tyre for do everythingability I ever used.

X tyre size

Hi all, just a quick question, I followed the link to the Avon tyre site and searched for the xt 660 x, and it spat out the tyres that would my X.

However the Distanzi is an option on the front wheel only.

I have seen Distanzia tyres for sale on fleebay that are all sorts of sizes and speed ratings. I am a little confused about all things tyres. Can one of you explain why this is and what are the correct tyre sizes for the front and back wheels of my 09 XTX.

Oh and can you keep it simple
Many thanks
