| 15/44 for mine..
15/ 44 = Love it.. Top speed junky.. Cruise speed 140-150 with more on tap..
Still works great on single trails and nasty forestry hills. Personal preference really. Also makes first gear taller for roll on wheelies ( no clutch) from slow start..

My DR-Z has silly gearing (14:49) on it for enduros (proper walking pace first gear, useful when you're trying to thread a comparitively heavy bike through a tight woods section), which I thought would make it a wheelie monster with the supermoto wheels on it. It actually made it harder to wheelie than when it was on 14:41, because the gears are now so short it runs out of revs before the forks extend fully, let alone the front wheel lifts.
It is hilarious though - you can pull away in 5th with a bit of clutch abuse, and you just ride it like a twist-and-go once it's moving

Oh, the bike did feel just a little bit less stable, since the rear wheel moved forward 1-1.5cm, but the bike is already so stable so it isn't really a problem. |

Guys im looking to do a trip to Italy from the UK and wanted to up the gearing a little. Its been suggested to drop 3 teeth on the rear to get a good 80mph motorway cruise. I like the sound of this as i don't "race" my XTX.
Whats on the front and rear as standard, how many teeth on each? |
