Replacement handlebars

I am looking for 2 things from replacement handlebars,
1) Stronger
2) Higher.

I plan to use Renthal bars. The std bars are 22mm and don't want to mess about with different clamps etc so that narrows it down.
The Renthal product guide on B&C express has the dimensions http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/cgi-bi...=HB-DIMENSIONS

I have measured the standard bars as follows (not 100% accurate but close enough)
Width A= 784
Height B = 80
Rise C = 55
Clamp D = 200
Sweep E = 135

So I plan to go with Bar 613 (Dakar high) , as these are also 22mm would they be stronger than the standard bars?

Also any comments on the bend of these bars

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scottnet - are you sure the sweep is 135?! Presumably this is measured in degrees from straight, rather than mm?

I've used Renthal 22mm bars for years, and they are super tough - racing or trail riding... although now I have their Fatbars on my XRs...

I like the RC bend version, or the RC High bend if you are looking for more height too... very comfortable on the wrists, not too wide, and plenty of angle adjustment if you roll them forward or backward in the clamps...

I have put a pair of 613 Dakar bend bars on and KTM hangaurds, all fits fairly easily. With the bar ends off there is a bit more vibration. I was wondering if anyone knew of a bar end weight that would screw into the expanding bolt from the KTM guards ?

you could get the bar end turnd down in a lathe to fit into the renthal bars drill a hole through it get a long bolt and screw it into the expanding bolt

Don't know if it helps, but I added a crossbar to my Magura (fat middle 22mm at the ends) bar. The crossbar actually comes from Touratech that was designed for the R1200GS, but it fits nicely even with my Acerbis handguards mounts. A dealer offered me a solution where they can put the barend weights INSIDE the Acerbis guards. I opted not to go for it as a) I don't think it will work with the oil reservoir and mirror mounts, b) I think the crossbar actually helps a bit in minimizing vibrations, c) I now let the bike warm up a bit before I take off so this helps smoothen the bike, and c) the bike gets smoother the more I ride.

Hello, have you replaced the bar?? I am looking to replace the handlebar with a Renthal too. I was also thinking about the 613-01 from Renthal. I you have already did it, I would like to hear about your comments.

They are good for me, I am 182cm tall and I have cut 10mm off each end and have them more forward than the standard bars. This creates a good standing and seated position
