Can be a bit buzzy between 3 & 4 k rpm. Worst bit is the vibrating plastic around the headlight bulb. Some packing in there seems to have improved it. Bikes only done 600 miles so hopefully will settle down. What's your problem? |

Earplugs!
Used to ride an R1100GS and a Guzzi before the Tenere, the odd sounds that used to come from different parts of engine, gearbox and other places would drive you insane if you started worrying, both were perfect!

I have the same problem and have done the "pat the bike all over while riding thing" and i can not work out exactly where it is coming from mine is very intermitant though and does not happen on every ride. I think it is coming from the fork guards?

The tenere side exhaust cover has a bolt that hits the exhaust. Before I found that thread I took my crankcase cover of, looking for the perpetrator.

I had a noise coming from the front of the bike which got really annoying. One Saturday I traced it to the headlight. Its mounted on rubbers and these rubbers had gotten old and shrunk so the headlight was rattling slightly, enough to cause a buzz. I fitted a washers on each rubber to take up the slack and all sorted. Previously I found the screen was touching the headlight surround so I spaced the screen with some little plastic top hat screen washers I had left over from my probolt gsxr days.
