Rigid Industries LED spotlamps

Thought i'd show you folks my [new(ish) lamps, fitted these last october but never got round to posting them up.

Had a set of the halfords 70mm halogen spots on the bike last year, and unfortunately the vibrations on the bike shook them to bits after less than 100 miles. thats the end of them then.

I dont normally have spare cash but i was in the rare situation where i did have, so i looked around for a robust alternative. I looked at the visionX ones and was very tempted, then i came across these http://www.zenoverland.com/lighting/...es_dually.html .

The video on the manufacturers website shows a large version of the lamps getting seven bells beaten out of them and they're fine! The company seems to have originally intended for their lamps to be fitted to off-road race trucks like the Baja500 type stuff, so 'robust' is an understatement.

Although they arent as small as the VisionX, the lamps work out quite at bit cheaper (price on that site is per pair) and the light output is 1300 lumens per lamp compared to the VisionX's 900 lumens, and you can get two different beam patterns, or a combo. I guess the LEDs in the Rigid lamps mustn't be as bright, as they have 4 per lamp to the VisionX's 1, but a saving of nearly fifty quid AND more light made it an easy choice for me.

I would just like to add that I have no connection to ZenOverland, other than being a happy customer - when i emailed the owner to ask if he had a a video of the lamps to show light output, he didnt have one, so he did one for me straight away. that the video thats now attached to the product page in the link. He's a nice guys to deal with, and his prices are spot on - i also bought a BestRest Cyclepump inflator from him (it was that that led me to him) and his price was noticeably lower that the next best price.

Good products, good prices, good service??? a rare combination, worth remembering IMO.

pics below - i dont have any pics in the dark, but trust me they're good.
