Beginner question...
I know this is going to be a bit incongruous in a forum dedicated to exhaust mods, but...what's the point of putting on a new exhaust?
Heh, this isn't a bit of trolling, I just don't know. |

I'm by no means an expert, but I'll have a stab at this one.......
1, Makes the engine flow better (normally combined with air filter/fuelling mods) = a little more HP 2, Reduce weight 3, Nicer/louder sound Nick. |

Yep pretty much what all has been said.
On the XT range the HP gain is suppose to be small but on other bikes for eg a suzuki bandit changing the exhaust can get around 8-10bhp with changing anything. Also more torque in there with Bhp. Bling is always a big factor

I wander the other way to be honest - the quieter and less bling the better for me.
I doubt a change would make a vast difference in weight, and staying off the beer for a couple of weeks would be substantially more effective, heh. I'm doing a trip around Europe in summer, so I'll ponder the full air filter / fuel / exhaust changes then. |

I think there's a difference of around 8kilos between standard and a set of CCC's.
