Footrest Gummi

For those of you who have removed, I would be curious to hear any feedback from you in terms of the difference in vibrations on your feet/boots, long vs. short trips, highway vs. green lane, etc. Many thanks.

I have removed the rubbers from the footpegs. You do get a bit more vibes from the pegs but I don't notice any more.

For green lane's or any dirt riding it's a must. And even on the road if you want to stand for a while it's much safer. The rubber grips will slip.

The one thing you must do is drop the rear brake pedal else if you are standing you are most probably pushing on rear brake. I went through a set of rear pads in +- 50 miles of off road because of this

The same is true for me. A little bit more vibes on the downside, but many things on the upside. Better grip, better feeling of the bike, more safe (I do also stand up in town traffic), and appr. 1 cm lower footpegs.

Just try it. It takes no more than 1 minute to remove the rubbers

I almost immediately changed the stock pegs for Pivotpegz when I bought the bike, so I've no real experience with the rubbers and if the vibrations are any more/less - certainly with bare metal pegs the bike feels fine (of course I'm very used to it now x)...

One thing I have found though is even if you adjust the brake lever all the way down, it is still rather high... it's a shame Touratech doesn't develop something genuinely useful like an adjustable* brake pedal, rather than all the bolt-on crap they have fabbed up so far... ahem.

xxx

*and a folding tip - mine ended up like a banana the other day!
