Tool Kit

I have been changing the tyre's on my XT today,and dicided to fit the new tyre's myself { the last set were fit in Andora by the garage }
Lucky I found this out toady in my garage rather than out on the road in the middle of no where

But My tool kit did not have a 14m allan key to remove the front wheel spindel

Did anyone else get one in thier tool kit .

Maybe Yamaha think that you will only ever need to fix a flat on the rear wheel

I'm buying a 14m allan key today
save me home if I get a front wheel flat .

TBH who trusts the standard toolkit anyway. I usually add extra little bits and bobs as I go along. If I'm touring I tend to have far more stuff than I need for example (although you usually meet someone in distress who needs something you've got).

I have one of these sorts of things:

'Cept it's a 'Scott' Bike one so folds down even smaller. (in fact its about 60x40x25mm)

I agree with MC on this. The KTM tool kit is pretty good, but even so I have modified it a bit. When touring, the top box is set aside for tools, spares, fluids and inner tubes. Also food and waterproofs go in there too. A torch can be indispensable for those night time 'issues'.
