Stock bhp
Hi just fitted leo Vince, DNA stage 3 and power commander to my 2010 xt660z.
Now got about 48bhp- does this sound right? Also dynoed as stock and gave about 33bhp. Do these figures sound low? Delighted by the increase however. Any thoughts ? Mark |

I believe 47bhp is standard at the engine.
Is your 48bhp at the wheel?

Yeah, measured at the rear wheel.

After investing the money has it translated to anything different in terms of the ride itself?

15hp gain over stock is huge!!!
i guess more like 8-10hp gain is more realistic imo. maybe your bike was really out of tune when measured at stock setup? only thing that matters is that you really love the way it rides now :-) |

The ride is much better. A few extra mph with it nailed(unimportant), but also sounds better.
What is really noticible is the way it pulls 'harder' everywhere, especially low down. I bought the tenere with fond memories of riding a klr650 when I was younger (30ish years ago...) It really thumped out of corners with a twist of the throttle, and now the tenere does the same. In the years I've had zzr11s triumph triples and classics, Harleys of all flavours and BMW boxers and fireblade. I can't remember ever being so impressed with a bike. I love the Tenere, it's close to being my perfect bike - the mods have moved it closer. A taller screen is next. I think then it'll be perfect (for me). |

Thanks.. I have A PCV with its 02 optimiser on my R. Currently it has a generic map on it which tbh isnt that much different to how it rides with both Kev's mods on it.
I have stage 1+2 DNA air filters,air box drilled(as per Kev's mod) and Arrow exhausts. Im in process of finding a localish tuner to puy it on a dyno..fingers crossed. |
